The Danish Jubilee is a replica of a jeweler's egg, one of the imperial Easter eggs, made by the company of Karl Faberge for the Russian imperial family. Created in 1903 by order of Emperor Nicholas II as an Easter gift for the Dowager Empress Maria Feodorovna. The gift was themed to coincide with the fortieth anniversary of the ascension to the throne of the parents of Empress Maria Feodorovna — King Christian of Denmark and his wife Queen Louise. The original was made of gold (gold was also used in the decoration of the product), decorated with white and blue enamel. In the center is a medallion crowned with a crown with a monogram resembling the letter "M"; in the background of the medallion, apparently, a heraldic mantle and crossed ears or flowers. On top of the egg, covered with a gold net, is a miniature figure of the Danish royal elephant. The egg is supported by three heraldic lions.
The surprise in the original Easter egg "Danish Jubilee" was a miniature double-sided portrait in watercolor on ivory, depicting King Christian and Queen Louise.
Our Easter egg is made of a jewelry alloy based on brass, the metal surface is decorated with gilyash, which you can see under the translucent enamel. The product is decorated with crystals.
The location of the original is unknown, it is considered lost.
